Each of the undersigned, on its own behalf and on behalf of any Minor Child named below, has agreed to execute this Release of Liability, Waiver of Legal Rights, and Indemnity in consideration of the opportunity for the undersigned, or any Minor Child named below, to attend and/or participate in rodeo activities and other social or recreational activities or events [hereafter referred to as “Rodeo Activities”] conducted by B.C. Little Britches Rodeo Association and its affiliates [“BCLBRA”]; and each of the undersigned on its own behalf and on behalf of any Minor Child named below.

I Agree To

Release and discharges BCLBRA and its officers, directors, elected officials, agents, employees, sponsors, and volunteers, as well as all other participants of Rodeo Activities and owners of equipment and land and buildings used for Rodeo activities [hereinafter collectively referred to as “Released Parties”] from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that the undersigned, or any Minor Child named below, may hereafter have for injuries, loss of life, loss or damage to property, and all other forms of damages arising out of or relating to Rodeo Activities, including, but not limited to, losses caused by the negligence of the Released Parties;

I Agree To

Waives all claims, demands, and causes of action against the Released Parties for injuries, loss of life, loss or damage to property, and all other forms of damages arising out of or relating to Rodeo Activities, including but not limited to, losses caused by the negligence of the Released Parties;

I Agree To

Agrees to not sue or otherwise make a claim against the Released Parties for injuries, loss of life, loss or damages to property, and all other forms of damages arising out of or relating to Rodeo Activities, including, but not limited to, losses caused by the negligence of the Released Parties;

I Agree To

Agrees to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from all claims, judgments, and costs, including attorney’s fees, incurred in connection with any action brought by any party, including any Minor Child named below, that in any way relates to or arises from participation or attendance of Rodeo Activities by the undersigned or the Minor Child named below;

I Agree To

Understands and acknowledges that no amount of care, caution, instruction or expertise can eliminate the significantly higher chance for injury, as compared to other sports, that may result from attendance at or participation in Rodeo Activities arising from factors such as, but not limited to, the following:

-Horses reacting unpredictably despite their past training or behaviour by engaging in behaviours such as stopping short, changing directions or speed at will, shifting weight, bucking, rearing, kicking, biting, and running from danger;
-Inclement weather, actions of other animals, irregular footing, landscape changes due to natural factors or manmade changes, premises defects, and inadequate or defective equipment;
-Inadequate supervision, instruction, or officiating, slipping, falling, poor skill level or conditioning, panic, carelessness, horseplay, unsportsmanlike conduct; and
-Any other circumstances inherent to indoor and outdoor recreational activities;
And expressly and voluntarily assumes all risk of injuries, loss of life, loss or damage to property, and all other forms of damages arising out of or relating to Rodeo Activities, including, but not limited to, losses caused by the negligence of the Released Parties;

I Agree To

Agrees that this Release of Liability, Waiver of Legal Rights, and Indemnity shall continue in full force and effect for so long as the undersigned or any Minor Child named below attends or participates in Rodeo Activities involving any of the Released Parties;

I Agree To

Represents being at least 18 years of age, and that they are the parent or legal guardian of any Minor Child named below; and that the undersigned has executed this Release of Liability, Waiver of Legal Rights, and Indemnity on behalf of itself and also on behalf of any Minor Child named below;

I Agree To

Agrees that the undersigned will, and will ensure that any Minor Child named below will, conduct themselves, operate equipment, or ride or engage with animals in a reasonable and safe manner while attending or participating in Rodeo Activities so as not to endanger the safety or property of any individual; and

I Agree To

Agrees that this Release of Liability, Waiver of Legal Rights, and Indemnity shall be governed by British Columbia law regardless of other conflict of law principles, and that if any portion of this document shall be deemed void or unenforceable, such portion shall be severable from this document, and the remaining terms of this document shall be given their full force and effect.

I Agree To

I Understand injury may be reduced by wearing proper safety equipment and I have Freely Decided to allow the Minor Child to ride without wearing a helmet designed for equine activities which might prevent permanent brain damage in the event of an accident. I Assume Full Responsibility for all additional Dangers, Hazards, and Risks of injury my decision to permit riding without a helmet might expose the Minor Child.

Each of the undersigned fully unstands the contents of this release of liability, waiver of legal rights, and indemnity, and agrees to be bound by them.
